Hello, I’m Amanda. I’m a fully qualified Psychotherapist, and I’ve spent more than two decades supporting individuals and couples in a wide range of roles and settings. My aim is to offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, reflect honestly, and feel supported as we explore what matters most to you.
My approach to therapy is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic models to suit your needs. I often use emotionally focused and solution-focused approaches, as these can help strengthen communication, deepen connection, and reduce conflict in relationships. Whether you are attending alone or with your partner, I will work at your pace and help you explore what is going on underneath the surface, while also offering practical tools you can use between sessions.
I listen closely and respectfully, and I value the lived experience you bring. Together, we can explore what is causing difficulty, understand patterns that no longer serve you, and work towards clarity, confidence, and meaningful change.
I’ve worked across a wide range of services including Victim Support, Youth Offending Teams, offender rehabilitation, an SEN school, and Cruse Bereavement Care. These roles have strengthened my understanding of the emotional, cultural, and social factors that shape our wellbeing and relationships.
I’m trained in conflict resolution, group facilitation, restorative justice, and trauma-informed practice. I also have experience supporting people through stress, loss, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, and a wide range of life transitions. Living abroad in my younger years shaped my appreciation for diversity and the different ways we all experience the world, which continues to influence my work today.
I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.
As your therapist, my role is to support you with warmth, clarity, and steady guidance. Together, we can:
Each session will be a safe and supportive space where you can think, reflect, and move forward at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
