Hi, my name is Diane and I’m a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with over 12 years of experience working with couples and individuals. My training is integrative, which means I tailor each session to suit your unique situation and needs.
I’m a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and offer a warm, open, and down-to-earth approach. I will create a safe and confidential space where you can explore what’s troubling you without fear of judgement. Whether you’re facing specific challenges or simply want to improve communication and connection in your relationship, you are welcome here
I work with clients from all backgrounds and walks of life, and I understand how important it is to feel heard and understood. In couples therapy, I provide a space for both partners to express themselves openly, be heard, and start to understand each other on a deeper level. My goal is to support you in building stronger emotional connection, clarity, and resilience – together.
My background brings together psychology, sociology, and personal development. Over the years, I’ve worked with both individuals and groups in a variety of settings. For several years, I supported couples through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood as a trained Doula, which gave me invaluable insight into the emotional and relational shifts that can arise during this time. This has deeply informed the way I support individuals navigating life transitions and relationship changes.
My role as your therapist is to offer support, structure, and space so you can explore what really matters to you — both individually and as a couple. Here’s what you can expect when working with me:
Listening and being listened to – I’ll hold a safe space where both of you feel heard and acknowledged without judgement.
Improving communication – We’ll look at how you communicate as a couple and bring clarity to misunderstandings or patterns that may be getting in the way.
Unpacking together – Therapy is a space where you can unpack anything you need to address or understand — past or present.
Creating space for emotion – I provide a nurturing environment where you can express your thoughts, feelings, and vulnerabilities freely.
Exploring transitions and change – We can take time to reflect on life transitions, relationship shifts, or changes you’re hoping to make, with support every step of the way.

Hello, my name is Amanda, and I’m a fully qualified Psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience supporting people emotionally in a wide range of roles and settings. I work with both individuals and couples, and my aim is always to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can feel understood, supported, and gently challenged.
My approach to therapy is integrative, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic models to suit your unique needs. These include emotionally focused and solution-focused approaches, which are particularly helpful in strengthening communication, deepening connection, and managing conflict – especially in relationships.
Whether you’re attending therapy alone or with your partner, my goal is to help you feel truly heard and to support you in moving forward. I believe that building trust and rapport is key to effective therapy, and I’ll always work at your pace. I’ll help you explore what’s going on beneath the surface, but also provide practical tools and strategies you can use in everyday life.
I’m someone who listens closely, respects your lived experience, and holds space for your emotions — even the difficult ones. Together, we’ll work through what’s troubling you and find a way towards clarity, understanding, and lasting change.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a wide range of services including Victim Support, Youth Offending Teams, rehabilitation of offenders, an SEN school, and Cruse Bereavement Care. I’ve supported individuals, couples, and families across different life stages and circumstances.
I’m also a qualified hypnotherapist and hypnobirthing practitioner, and trained in group facilitation, conflict resolution, and restorative justice. My background has helped me develop a deep appreciation for the social, cultural, psychological, and emotional factors that shape our wellbeing and relationships.
Living abroad as a young person and travelling extensively has also influenced my outlook. I’ve come to understand that while some aspects of human nature are universal, we all experience life differently. Being open, empathetic, and respectful of these differences is at the heart of how I work.
