Hello, my name is Steve Bennett, and I am a mature, fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Therapist for couples and individuals. I’m a member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and an accredited member of NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society). I’m also fully qualified supervisor for other therapists and a trained Mediator.
The therapy I provide will be as individual as you are. Which means I will endeavour to help you explore the problems you are experiencing in your relationship. I am impartial and non-judgemental and will strive to make sure that each person has their say and is heard.
Whether you are looking for help to make your relationship work better than it currently is, or if you are looking for support in separating more amicably, I am here to help.
The main aim of couple’s therapy sessions is to help you communicate more effectively, which will hopefully lead to you having a better understanding of yourselves and each other. I will support you through any tough times or decisions you need to make, whilst encouraging positive thoughts, attitudes and steps forward.
Ethical Standards – As a member of NCPS and BACP I adhere to their ethical guidelines, ongoing supervision and CPD (Continual Professional Development) to ensure the service I provide to my clients is the best possible.
I am a mature, married man with children. I have a broad life experience with related employment over the years including Factory work, telecoms engineer, Mentor, work as a personal advisor for 16–23-year-olds, teaching in a secondary school, work in the field of domestic abuse and culminating in private practice as a counsellor, with continuing professional development.
