About Jackie
Hello and welcome. My name is Jackie and I'm based at Relationship Counselling Kent’s Chatham practice. I hold a CPCAB Level 5 diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am an accredited registered member of the BACP.
As a person-centred therapist, I encourage you both to bring your concerns to sessions. While the counselling is led by you, I play an active role in opening up conversations, helping you bridge gaps, and better understand each other’s perspective.
Many couples come to me feeling they’ve drifted apart, lost their spark, or become stuck in conflict. By the time they reach out, resentment often runs beneath the surface. Therapy offers a neutral, supportive space where you can pause, feel heard, and begin to reconnect.
On our first session I’ll ask what you hope to achieve, whether that’s improving your relationship, separating more amicably, or simply gaining clarity. Whatever your goal, I’ll provide a welcoming, calm, safe and inclusive space where you can talk openly, listen without judgement, and explore the way forward together.

Background & Experience
I have supported couples and individuals with a wide range of relationship challenges, from communication breakdowns and loss of intimacy to resentment and ongoing conflict. I work with couples at different stages of their journey, those wanting to reconnect, those unsure about the future, and those looking for support to separate more respectfully.
My practice is rooted in a person-centred approach, incorporating all my additional training to create a structured session using key tools and techniques to be used both inside and outside the session to support couples of all ages, genders, and sexual orientations, creating a safe, inclusive, and confidential environment where both partners feel equally valued and understood.
How I Can Help
I'll provide a safe and neutral space where you can both articulate your feelings freely and feel genuinely heard.
I will help you cultivate active listening and empathy, helping you gain a profound understanding of each other's perspectives and needs.
Together, we'll gently unravel any unhelpful behavioural patterns and explore how past experiences might be influencing your present relationship dynamics.
I'll equip you with practical, evidence-based tools and strategies to enhance communication, manage conflict, and rebuild intimacy.
We will work together to clarify your path forward, whether that involves rekindling your connection and rebuilding as a couple or navigating separation with mutual respect and understanding.

“Jackie was very good at listening, getting us to both speak/ hear from both sides and it was overall a very friendly and successful appointment.”
“Jackie has been so helpful in navigating conversations and feelings between me and my husband which we could not manage to do without her help and support. Thank you Jackie you really do make a difference”
“I had various sessions with Jackie following a painful break-up. I was astounded by how much we unearthed together and how much I've since been able to grow from that. Jackie always created an atmosphere of care and support in our sessions, and I always felt safe (and held) enough to be vulnerable, and share things I've never shared before. She is amazing at what she does and I am forever grateful for the work we've done together. I feel lighter, more in-tune with myself and my needs, more aware of my self sabotaging behaviours, and I now show myself more self-love which was something I wasn't aware was lacking in my life. I've recommended her to various people and wouldn't hesitate to do the same to those reading this! Thank you so much Jackie :-))))”
“Jackie supported my husband and I through a difficult time in our marriage. We were experiencing unhealthy in law relationships that was causing stress and tension in our marriage. Jackie provided tools which created awareness and understanding of each other. She also provided a safe impartial space to unravel issues. This gave us clarity and got us connecting and communicating again. I wouldn’t hesitate to revisit Jackie in the future. We now have strong boundaries around our family unit and a much peaceful happier home.”
“Jackie was great, communicated well, listened well, allowed us both space to speak and encouraged balanced listening between us. Her space was really nice to be in (these things matter when you're baring your emotions!) and well air conditioned on a boiling hot day. We would be continuing if my husband hadn't had to go and work abroad but the session itself helped us to put some big life changes in motion so we can move forward as a couple.”
