About Emma
Hello, I’m Emma. I am an Integrative Counsellor offering relationship counselling to couples, alongside individual therapy, with many years’ experience working across mental health settings.
My work is grounded in the belief that relationships can be a powerful source of healing, growth, and understanding, even during times of conflict, distance, or distress. I provide a supportive, calm, and non judgemental space where couples can explore their experiences, emotions, and patterns safely.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, person centred therapy, and emotionally focused approaches. This allows our work to be shaped around your relationship and what feels most helpful for you both.
We work collaboratively, to help you both feel heard and understood, even when conversations feel difficult. My aim is to support you in gaining deeper awareness, improving connection, and creating meaningful change at a pace that feels right for your relationship.

Background & Experience
I have over eighteen years’ experience working across mental health and counselling services. Before qualifying as a counsellor, I worked in a range of mental health and support settings, supporting people experiencing emotional distress, trauma, and complex life challenges.
This background has given me a strong understanding of how past experiences, stress, and emotional patterns can impact relationships. I bring this depth of experience into my work with couples and individuals, helping people feel heard, supported, and understood, even when conversations feel difficult.
How I Can Help
We will create a safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore your relationship dynamics and feel truly heard.
I will help you identify unhelpful communication patterns and develop more constructive ways to connect with each other.
We will work collaboratively to understand the roots of your conflicts and find effective strategies for resolution.
I will support you both in rebuilding trust and fostering deeper emotional intimacy within your partnership.
We will rediscover shared goals and strengthen your bond, leading to a more fulfilling and resilient relationship.
