    About Beth

Hello, my name is Beth and I am a fully qualified CBT therapist offering a unique, tailored approach to couples counselling called Rational Emotive Counselling Therapy (RECT). This method is designed for couples experiencing emotional disturbance in their relationships.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) from The College of Cognitive Therapies London, both accredited by the National Counselling Society (NCS). I am also a qualified Mediator, experienced in resolving disputes across family, neighbourhood, and employment settings. This has given me valuable insight into how relationships break down when irrational demands or unhelpful expectations are present.

By combining my REBT training with my experience as a mediator, I deliver RECT in a way that supports couples in moving past destructive patterns and building healthier, more constructive ways of relating.

    Background & Experience

I have extensive experience supporting couples through conflict, emotional difficulties, and relationship challenges. Alongside my private practice, I have also worked as a mediator, helping people resolve disputes in family, workplace, and community settings.

My specialist focus is couples counselling. I combine my training in CBT and REBT with my mediation expertise to provide a structured and supportive approach. I help couples identify destructive beliefs, change unhelpful patterns, and rebuild trust and communication.
