I hold a Diploma in Professional Counselling and have extensive professional development in relationship therapy. I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and a student member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) My practice focuses on supporting couples and individuals to build clearer connection and healthier partnership dynamics. Before I was a counsellor my background includes extensive experience of working within addiction and mental health services, in prisons, community rehabilitation programmes and treatment services. I have worked with a lot of trauma in my career and I have an additional qualification in trauma making my practice trauma informed. I am a mum and I bring my lived experience of neurodiversity into the way I work with clients from all different backgrounds. I also have experience of working within the family and criminal court systems, which has given me a broad understanding of the pressures that can affect and breakdown relationships. These experiences inform a pragmatic and compassionate approach to complex relationship issues. My approach is calm, empathic and focused on your relationship. I bring all of my experience to help partners recognise unhelpful patterns, communicate more effectively and resolve conflict.
