Before that I worked in local government, concentrating on homelessness, housing policy and improving customer satisfaction. I also have extensive voluntary sector experience supporting people through mental health challenges, domestic violence and reparative justice. I have worked with people with autism and their families, helping them navigate difficult times and the complex pressures that can affect relationships. During my time at Relate I worked closely with CAFCASS (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service), supporting separating and divorcing parents. As a qualified child counsellor I helped parents keep their children’s needs at the centre while working towards respectful and constructive agreements. I offer Gottman Method Couples Therapy alongside integrative, psychodynamic, systemic and solution-focused approaches to help couples improve communication, resolve conflict and rebuild trust. I work with couples and individuals on issues such as disconnection and distance, intimacy and sexual difficulties, trust and infidelity, pre-marital preparation, separation support and parenting or financial pressures, and I welcome LGBTQ+ and queer relationships. My aim is to create a safe, understanding space where partners can develop stronger connection, communicate more clearly and make decisions that honour their relationship and family needs. ## How I Can Help Together, we will explore the root causes of conflict, disconnection and misunderstanding, fostering a deeper empathy and reducing unhelpful emotional patterns and behaviours. I'll help guide you in identifying and transforming unhelpful interaction cycles, paving the way for a more positive and fulfilling relationship dynamic. We will address areas of emotional stagnation or disconnection, then collaboratively develop strategies to rebuild intimacy and ensure both partners' needs and expectations are genuinely met. I'll provide practical tools and gentle guidance to help you navigate disagreements constructively, manage expectations effectively, and restore a sense of partnership. We'll focus on enhancing your communication skills, helping you express yourselves and listen to each other with greater clarity and understanding. I'll help you strengthen your emotional bond using proven relationship approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, fostering a secure and lasting connection.
