My Name is Sharon Peach, and I’m a professionally qualified therapist with over 10 years’ experience working with both couples and individuals. I am an Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Registered member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.
I work from a comfortable, private room in the heart of the Kent countryside in the village of Staplehurst.
My approach is warm, friendly and non-judgemental. It’s important to me that I create a safe space to allow you to explore your issues and together we can create positive changes to your life. I am an integrative therapist and therefore tailor my work depending on the clients/s in front of me.
When working with couples I can facilitate those tricky conversations to help resolve conflict, create meaningful connections and make healthy behavioural changes.
I am also a trained Psychosexual therapist and hold an advanced diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship therapy. I can help couples to reconnect physically by addressing the issues that are getting in the way of healthy intimacy.
My decision to train as a therapist was inspired by my own experience of how powerful counselling can be during a personal crisis.
Some years ago, my life went through an extremely turbulent period, with several major challenges happening in a short space of time. I felt completely overwhelmed and in need of something steady to hold on to. Counselling became that anchor for me.
Therapy not only helped me cope with what was happening at the time, but also gave me tools I still use today to navigate life’s ups and downs. I gained a much deeper understanding of myself, how my past shaped my ability to handle stress, resolve conflict, and relate to others.
That experience led me to want to offer the same support to others. I’ve now been in full-time private practice for 10 years. Before that, I worked as a counsellor in a secondary school and a GP practice.
You will have a safe, supportive space where you will both have the opportunity to feel truly heard. I’ll be alongside you through the storm, offering care and thoughtful reflections to help you make connections between past experiences and present challenges.
I work in a flexible way, where you will lead the way. I will tailor each session to suit your individual needs as well the needs of the relationship. Together we will explore the issues you’re facing, whether emotional, relational, or life-stage related.
I’m there to support you both to express your needs clearly, navigate difficult conversations, and rebuild connection, helping the relationship get back on track. If that is what you are hoping to achieve
I’m fully trained in psychosexual therapy and can help with a range of issues such as loss of desire or arousal, painful sex, rapid ejaculation and erectile dysfunction, in a sensitive and non-judgemental way.
Whether you’re coming as an individual or a couple, my aim is to build a trusting relationship where you feel able to offload, reflect, and explore what’s troubling you. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful patterns and find new ways forward.
